Support for S/O
This may sound odd but is there any support for significant others, information incannpass along, what to expect, what they're going to have to put up with. And mostly information on what is going on with us leading up to surgery?
To make a long story short I'm choosing to have a hysterectomy due to heavy bleeding and hormonal imbalances. My bf has his moments when I believe he doesn't understand what is going on inside my body. Almost as if since I don't look sick... I probably am faking it. While he hasn't come out and said that... I feel that from him. He doesn't understand the physical pain I'm in. The emotions that come with hormone imbalances. When I'm being snarky and irrational, it's not intentional (usually). He is really supportive of my health and my taking control of it but I truly don't know if he "gets it". Any thoughts, advice or otherwise would be wonderful.

That's not an unusual question at all. Have a look - or better yet, have your BF have a look - at the Mister HysterSisters site. :-)

Re: Support for S/O
Please talk to your doctor as whether you keep or ovaries or not, you are still more than likely to experience some hormonal imbalances...
