Sitting - pain in the leg/hip

Hello.
I am 5 weeks post op. I started to work and was sitting about 6 hours a day. Just the second day I got a pain when I lifted up my leg. It seems it is in the hip area. It only hurts when I try to move the leg. The doctor said they operated pretty far on each side of the uturus. I didnt remove theovarius though. I was thinking maybe I got ovulation but it has been hurting for 4 days already. Could it also be because of all the sitting? Then why is it only the rightleg that is hurting?

Sounds like sciatic pain. Try ice pack & getting up at least every hour to stretch

I started back to work at about 5 weeks post-op and sitting was the worst!!! I could only manage about 3 hours during the first week. Take it slow and listen to your body. You are still healing and it will take time to ease back into your life.

Do call your if the pain gets worse or continues.

Thanks! But I have been reading that others have pain in the abdominal with pressure there. I think its strange that my
hip/leg is hurting....

There are alot of new aches & pains w/recovery. I have hip & leg pain. I assumed it was from sitting/laying so much.
It sounds like a talk with your doctor is what will be best for you. Blessings & health!

GM, I am 2 weeks out today. I had the same exact problem this week and had to go to the ER. They wanted to rule out bloodclots since I was so new. They diagnosis was nerves! I started sleeping on the sofa and adjusting myself and it went away! :-)
