Re: Stupid question ?
I know you don't want to go to the ER but it would be best that you get checked out before you have a raging bladder infection or some other type of infection. Trust your judgement and if you feel something is wrong, it often is. Please keep us posted.

Re: Stupid question ?
I would ask the doc to do a culture and see if you have a bacterial infection in your urine, then would know which antibiotic to use, if you do have one. This might be a case where you have to advocate for yourself and push a bit. I am sorry you are going thru this.

Re: Stupid question ?
Charm: You prob. have a UTI or some other form of infection. Call that doc back and insist you be seen, or go to the ER. Remember that you just had major surgery! You should not be running temps. Sometimes "they" don't listen and we have to insist - Please let us know how you make out. Hugs -

Re: Stupid question ?
I am just recovering from bladder infection. I am on my last day of medication. Last week I ran a fever of 101. I had a watery yellow discharge but it did not hurt to pee. I did pee often, I called the doc office and they took me in the next morning. Tested my urine and said I had a bladder infection. I feel so much better on the medication. I do not have a fever anymore but i still have some discharge but pinkish. I will finish the meds and call the doctor if discharge does not go away. Not sure if it spread to a vagina infection. I hope you feel better soon. I am now 4 weeks post op

Re: Stupid question ?
The fever might be a symptom of an infection, whether a bladder infection, a UTI or something else. Taking ibuprofen is masking the fever; it brings your temp down temporarily but doesn't get rid of it. You need to either see your doctor or go to the ER. Putting it off is giving any possible infection a chance to get worse.
