Impending Hysterectomy

Robin here. I am begging, at this point, for a hyster. I am just a year or two older than you. Everyone keeps forcing me to try to look into the future to figure out if I want kids. I have no desire for them now, and I have been married for 10 years and we have had no wish to have them thus far. I also get the sense from my friends that I am "cheating" by getting the surgery (believe it or I believe they are really jealous that I will be pain, pad, and period free!). They think I should tough it out because that is what was meant for women. My question for you: how do you feel about the finality of the surgery and knowing that there will be no kids?

I am wondering what the census is; I am having a TAH on June 12th, my DH and I hold season tickets to the Broadway Series here in Phoenix. We have a play on June 30th, that is only 18 days post-op. Do you think I can plan on attending or does my DH need to invite one of my child's friend in my place. I really don't want to miss this one, we have another one the middle of July. I love Broadway !!

I wouldn't plan on it. That is awfully close and a long time to be up.
