I'm glad you posted this. I almost posted the exact same thing last night when everyone was in the pool but me I'm really hoping my dr gives me good news Tuesday bc my new town has a water park with a lazy river calling my name lol

Re: Can I go in pool -3 weeks post op tomorrow

I'm worried now reading all these answers! My dr told my hubby that I could take a bath after a week. So yesterday, I took 2 because it was so relaxing on my hips, thighs and back. I had DvH 9 days ago. Should I not be taking a bath???

Kterpoli- please dont feel like it was dumb!!!!!! Thats what this website is perfect for- asking any &all questions! I have asked many seemingly silly questions over my time on this site. Most people would be thinking mostly abt the incision site that you can see- thats the only part we get to watch the progress of. I do hope you have a good day & that you find a nice cool activity. Big s to you!

Seems reasonable to me but not to anyone else I ask...... Anyone had or having this experience or know the answer r share your thoughts- please and thank you!
My guess is that your doctor said "no."
Your point about "just standing" in the pool is understandable.
The problem is the risk of infection that comes from internal and external stitches that aren't fully healed yet.
If your doctor says "no," don't risk it.

Sunlover66: if your doctor gave permission to resume taking baths, by all means follow doctor's instructions ;-)
