LAVH: A little scared...

I'm 30 and having a Hystorectomy on the 22nd. I have 3 children and am trying to get everything ready for my family before the surgery. It's much harder than I expected because people are very helpful for the time right after surgery but the weeks following not so much. :| I'm scared that things will fall apart while I'm out of commission. I'm also scared because I'm not sure how I will feel emotionally, as of now I'm falling apart.

I understand how you feel; we're so used to being the care-giver that it's hard to imagine being the one that needs care.

Do you have someone ready for when you need help? A list of what will need to be seen to might help you feel better. I made sooo many lists, but they helped a lot. They kept me occupied and let others know I I needed to be done
