traveled to California and back at 3 weeks post-op

Hi ladies,
Remember me, I'm the one that asked if it would be wise to drive to California from Texas and back for the birth of my granddaughter. Well, I did it and I am better for the experience. My granddaughter is a beautiful angel ! I came back feeling much better than I did when we left. I think all of the exercise - getting in and out of the car all the time - walking constantly, but resting a lot, holding and kissing my grandbaby and just being away from the house did me a world of good. of course it was a long, long drive, (12 hours a day) but DH stopped as often as I needed. I just wanted to let you all know that I made it back home and thanks for your advice, thoughts and prayers.

Great!

That's good news! I'm scheduled to attend my little brother's wedding in August (about 3weeks post-op too) on the other side of the country. It's good to hear such travels turn out well!

Enjoy that new granddaughter!
