stairs drool

hey Ellit

I guess my dr is like yours he also said stairs are fine
I did it once since coming home and it was not pretty
I have two long flights to get to my apartm ent.
I am about to try it again in an effort to protect my hubby from dealing with my mother. Placing him at her
mercy is more frightening then stairs. I will let you know how I do . Also my dr said I have "hundreds" of internal stitches. Isn't that a lovely thought LOL

Hi..and Why?

hey, i had vag hyst and a p repair aug 15, was told to severely limit stairs, come down in morning, stay on main floor, then back up at night. - for 2 weeks, then gradually increase but keep to as little as possible, also i could not leave house for first two weeks, no car rides, at all - could rupture stitches with motion of vehicle.

Hi..and Why?

I was told that climbing stairs can cause tiny cracks in the healing tissues, muscles, and tendons that can cause adhesions and scar tissue to form.

Hi..and Why?

My doc said stairs were fine from day one. I have been up and down them hundreds of times from the day I came home from the hospital....it is strange to see how different the advice is from each doctor!

Hi..and Why?

During my checkout from the castle, they asked if I had stairs at home. I have 3 up to the porch to get in the house. They said to be careful and go slowly. I was told because of the internal stitches. It was hard to do the three little ones I can't imagine doing the 2 long flights you have, Harley. Good luck!
