Hi! New here - endo patient scheduled for TAH

Hi,

I found this site a few weeks ago and thought I'd finally post. I have found the information very useful. I have endomitriosis (sp? you would think I would know how it's spelled by now). My doctor has tried since 2000 to avoid a hysterectomy (because I wasn't ready) and now it's no longer an option. I'm tired of the pain and horrible bleeding. I'm scheduled for a TAH on July 24th. Trying to get ready and filling out all the forms for work is exhausting and pretty much makes me want to cry. Which sounds stupid but when your hormones are all over the place it doesn't take much. I'm glad I found a place where everyone will understand. I'm a natural worrier (get it from my Mom) so the Dr's office doesn't even call for approval from my insurance until 2 weeks before so I'm hoping they approve it after going thru all this paperwork to get off of work. If I have nothing to worry about I'll think of something. I'm trying to stay postive because my doctor wouldn't suggest it if it wasn't necesarry. Thanks for listening. I may not post much but I enjoy reading others.

I am glad you are here! I just love all the ladies here and the support, advise and help they have given me...in fact I seem to be addicted to reading and learning and most of all making new friends!!

Everyone here has either been there done that or like you are waiting to have a pain free life!!

Feel free to vent and let out all your emotions~we all know this is a roller coaster ride with plenty of ups and downs.
I do hope your insurance cooperates and everything goes smoothly for you...hang in there and it will be in the past before you know it!

Hi! New here - endo patient scheduled for TAH

Hi April- Welcome!! You sound like you'll fit in w/ all the ladies around here. I love this place. I am on here all the time... I don't type so much b/c I am shy but everyone here is so friendly. Try not to worry too much about your surgery. (That is hard, I know. I am a worrier too.) Just think about how great you will feel!!!
I WISH I lived in Arizona, Sarah
