Re: back to work

It depends on how you feel & the nature of your job. I am going back full time in a few days, 4 weeks after DVH. My job is not physically tasking & I am able to sit all day if necessary. I have a standing desk so can alternate between sitting and standing.Your job sounds more physically challenging. If you are in doubt, then you probably should go back part time, at least the first 1-2 weeks. Wishing you the best.

Re: back to work

It depends on the type of surgery you had and the type of work you do. I had TAH with LSO. I am a nurse in a busy NICU. I went back to work at 7 1/2 weeks. I had to leave after 8 hours, I was supposed to work 12. I am now 8 weeks and doing the 8 hour shifts with no problems at all. If it helps...another young lady at work at DvH was out 5 weeks she is back and doing 12 hour shifts for a couple days in a row. She's doing fine. But, she is about 10 years younger was not opened has her cervix and both ovaries and job is not as physical.

Re: back to work

I was cleared for half days (I am an elementary music teacher and am on my feet and active the entire time I am at work) and did that for 8 days. As of today I am back full time - I was tired at the end of the day but I feel ready to get back to normal again. I think starting with half days is a very good way to go.
