TLH Swelly Belly 6 months post hysterectomy

Good Day Ladies,

Just wondering if anyone still suffers from the swelly belly! I had my hysterectomy on March 15, 2016 and still see that my belly swells. Is this normal after sixth months? Also, it was bought to my attention that there's so much venom behind my words, almost as if I'm angry all the time. Me and the hubby can't seem to see eye to eye lately and everyone just gets on my nerves. Am I the only one going through this?

First, yes swelly belly at 6 months is very normal. As a matter a fact I still swell sometimes and I'm 3 years out. My mom still swells sometimes and she's 16 years out. Not terrible just noticeable. 2nd, you had major surgery, thats bad enough, you had major surgery that effects your hormones thats worse. So yeah the nerve thing is totally normal. Its hard to deal with but honestly there's not much to do but wait it out. It will get better and you will be yourself again, it may take a full year, I did, but you will get there. Cut yourself some slack and calmly explain to your husband you're not doing it on purpose, you can't help it. If you tell him gently and keep the tone calm and un accusing he will respond better. Men just don't understand how hard this is on our bodies and psyche. It will get better.

I swelled well past a year. So pretty normal I believe. I no longer swell though. I was very crappy, per my family, for about nine months. Hang in there! It will pass!

Could it be bolting caused by what you eat? Keep a diary of what you eat/activities and swelling/bloating.
Some have reported need to change diet due to bloating
