Surgery on Tuesday and the nightmares have begun...

I have been having dreams this last week about the surgery, not good ones either! Last nights dream takes the cake.....I dreamed that I went in for surgery and came out with a big bandage over the incision. I spent the normal 3 days and went home. They told me to take off the bandage off in 1 day. I did as they told me. I took off the bandage and decided to look at it. I was so mad and crying......my dr had put in a light switch where my belly button goes. I called the dr office and they told me she put in a universal light switch. I could go into any room anywhere and use it to turn on/off the lights. As I looked closer I saw that she did not sew up the sides and I could see all the way into my body. It was bad. I just kept crying and crying. I woke up this morning at 4:10am crying. I am just a mess. I am trying to get things ready and keep busy. This whole thing has invaded all aspects of my life, even my dreams! Hoping to get some sleep tonight, if not then hopefully monday night even if I have to take medicine to do it.

Re: Surgery on Tuesday and the nightmares have begun...

We are going to become princesses on the same day!!

WOW! Even though we are "time zones apart" i woke up at 4am too from a bad dream about surgery!! This will make 4 strange, scary, werid, bizzare dreams in a row. Like you I JUST WANT TO SLEEP!

What the heck a light switch!? Do you need to replace light switches around the house and somehow this crossed over to your dream??

Don't take any medicine to help you sleep, unless "cleared" by the doctor! You wouldn't want them to cancel the surgery!

Re: Surgery on Tuesday and the nightmares have begun...

It is so weird! Again, guess I am not the only one. I have had so many odd ones.
Daisyforest.....are you all ready? I did my big grocery shopping today, cleaned my bedroom and bathroom, laundry and cleaned the rest of the house a bit. I will finish all that tomorrow after my pre-op appt with dr and hospital. I have to be at hospital at 5:30am my surgery is at 7:30am. When is yours?
