Okay, a sex question!

Alright Sistahs in the know:
While I know sex is off limits for 6 weeks....what about masturbation?
Will that area even interest me during recovery at all? Will it be sore from surgery and will there be stitches.

And what is up with that vaginal tie off my doctor was rambling on about? Will my vagina be shorter and will it make sex difficult?

And just how good is sex without a cervix? And should i buy stock in personal lubricant?

SIGH...so many questions...so little time!

Okay, a sex question!

if you kept your ovaries you shouldn't need the lube.
I hear that practise makes perfection, where the big O is concerned, that the first few times its not as good as before but gets better with time and healing.

Okay, a sex question!

I am almost three years post op from TAH, I kept my ovaries. Sex has been better than ever. A little painful in the beginning because of the 'man made' cervix but great since. I will probably change all that since I'm now going back to have the ovaries out. My biggest worry is this vaginal dryness I keep hearing about. I have a very healthy sex life with my husband and this is really scaring me. I think age plays a factor as well, we normally can't be bothered as we age. I was young three years ago, no I am fabulous at 40, lol. I hope I'm still interested.

Okay, a sex question!

This is a little embarrassing but I would rather ask all of you princesses first before I ask my doctor. My husband wants me to ask my doctor how long oral sex is put on hold. HOw do I bring that question into the conversation? If anyone has dealt with this let me know.

Thanks

Okay, a sex question!

I'd ask the DR directly, and very matter of factly. They have heard it all. I'm sure as long as you don't use slang terms or crude language to ask the question, you'll get a direct answer. If this concerns you, do ask... DRs differ in how they feel about it. Many believe it's too risky unless a dental dam is used to prevent infection.
