8 days post hysterectomy feeling restless have some questions

Hi I am 8 days post op. Had da Vinci procedure on 6/23, everything was removed except right ovary. I have bipolar disorder but my husband says I have been a lot more irritable lately. Is there such thing as mini menopause? I have been getting some hot flashes. My stomach itches really bad.and it is pretty swollen. My husband has been helpful, but he works all day so I am here with my kids all day. Since school is out they are really restless. I am just frustrated because I am the do it all type of person, now I can't mow my lawn or vacum. My kids have a doctor appointment today and I have to drive 1 hour each way, I drive a standard and I have a very resistive clutch so I am not looking forward to it ( I don't think it's a good idea, maybe I am being a baby). Ty for reading my rant. Hugs to all also: I have a weird numbness to my left upper thigh that's driving me nuts

Hi there, we had our surgery the same day and same type of surgery, except I had both ovaries removed. I'm so sorry your having side affects like that. I know its very frustrating to me also not to be able to do things around the house that need to be done. I still have a lot of pain on my right side and very bruised due to a tremendous amount of scar tissue. And Im still very swollen. I too also drive a standard with a resistant clutch. I know I couldn't make it to the store and back, 10 minutes away without being in dire pain afterwards. Remember, you have stitches inside also and you don't want those to tear. We only have one chance to heal properly so please really think about it before you make that long of a drive. I honestly wouldn't do it but you do what's best for you. Happy healing and gentle hugs !
