Don't give up!

I agree with the other ladies here -- don't give up! Definitely get the appeal process going. I kind of doubt it will be resolved by your original procedure dates though. They're notorious for dragging things out sometimes.

BUT! Hang in there!!! We're all here for you!

Big hugs!!!!!

I would appeal, appeal, appeal until it gets approved. Ask the insurance company who is deciding and if it isn't a doctor, ask them why they are practicing medicine without a license? Because I think I have heard that if it isn't a doctor, they are making medical decisions for your health, and if they aren't doctors, they don't know the extent, they are just going by their guidelines. Don't know if it will work, but I would say it's worth a try.

Appeal it. My surgery was turned down too. I was to have my hyster Nov 14 but the insurance said it was a pre exting condition. I was so mad. I found out minutes after finding out my husband was on his way to urgent care because he hurt his foot. It just so happened that my dh had just gotten a new job with "good" insurance. I called them and they said they did not have preexiting. So I put my date off by a month and now I will cross my fingers that they say ok. The new insurance starts tomorrow. My surgery is Dec 12. The drs offices deal with this kind of stuff all the time. Ask them to appeal it for you. You willl most likely have to put the surgery off a little but it will happen if it needs too. Put it in Gods hands
Good Luck

Definitely appeal it. I had a friend who was denied again and again. She finally found out that the doctor had a code wrong on her form which stated it was for "mental purposes". Of course we could probably even argue that case but once her code was right they approved her.
