Re: A moment of thought for my uterus

I think we all have to adjust to the "new me". I keep thinking about all those parts that are gone. I haven't really mourned the loss but I keep processing all they went on. I even wrote my hysterectomy story in a notebook so I can go back to it later. My O is fantastic still thank goodness and the libido is through the roof. I cried when I had the last O before surgery and when I had the first one after. I don't think men, Dr's even have a clue how emotional this surgery can be for women.

My surgery was a week ahead of yours and I think that is what happened, it had not become real. I had prepared physically for it and was not prepared for the mental aspect and it all hit me at once. Good luck!

I don't think I realized how emotional it would be. I was ready physically, but emotionally not prepared.

It's as if I am now really facing something I should have gotten over almost 20 yrs ago. Weird to be sad over something that felt like it was trying to do me in. Sexually, if I can get thru it without feeling like I'm being stabbed it will be a huge improvement.
I understand, I had my tubes tied a year ago and remember feeling sad that my child bearing was done, but now it is final!!
