Swelling

I am 4 weeks post op. I was readmitted for pneumonia 1 week post op. And I have been on bed rest for all 4 weeks. I am still really swollen in the abdomen. Anyone else still swollen?

Re: Swelling

I had swelly belly for 7 months. At 7 months I started feeling good enough to exercise. I still had a little swelly belly. Well, I was doing a core work out, so I was working all areas. Within a week, my swelly belly went away! Now, I tried doing this at 3 months and it just made things worse. Don't try to rush it. Listen to your body. I am a slow healer and very jealous of the fast healers! The swelly belly will go away, even though it feels like it never will. Just give it some time.

Feel better soon. Take care!

Re: Swelling

I had complications as well & at 5 weeks still have a swelly belly. Just take it slow, listen to your body and don't worry about healing slower than others. Feel better soon.
