No need to be embarrassed these are questions you need to know the answers to for yourself and others benefit as well.

First a little bit of clarification on the operations. A total hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus & cervix (which is part of the uterus). A supracervical hysterectomy is the removal of just the uterus but the cervix remains intact. It has nothing to do with the ovaries being removed that is a separate procedure called a salpingo-oopherectomy. Usually you will see BSO meaning bi-lateral (both) salpingo (tubes) and oopherectomy (ovaries) were removed.

So for me someone have a laproscopic surgery you might see LSH (for laproscopic supracervical hysterectomy) meaning they kept their cervix, or LSH BSO meaning they had a supracervical hysterectomy and also tubes and ovaries were taken.

As for your other questions, if you have your ovaries and are not menopausal you will still ovulate. The egges are absorbed. You may experience PMS but some say that decreases over time.

As for the wetness......your mileage may vary related to this. Since you are keeping your ovaries you are probably good. I could not keep my ovaries or cervix and had issues to start but with some hormones and time things are much better.

Re: Just asking for some info!

3 weeks post-op from LAVH - removed cervix, kept ovaries. No sex yet, but it is driving me crazy not to. It is like being a kid - adults have said you shouldn't have sex, so you want it even more! Anyway, no problems with lubrication except the inability to make good use of it.
