dVH/RALH: Can't wait for pre-op...

I can't wait for pre-op to get here. I have so many questions! My gyn had told me she was taking my fallopian tubes, but was going to leave my ovaries if they looked ok. We'll, I got part of my pre-op paperwork and it says "Total laparscopic hysterectomy, bso, cystoscopy". Doesn't BSO mean both ovaries will be removed? And cystoscopy - is that the catheter?

Yes, you are right BSO means removal of both ovaries. And I believe a cystoscopy is a scope of the bladder. Maybe she has to put BSO down in case she does remove your ovaries. You can give her a call and ask.
