5 weeks today and hurts to sit

Hi!

I'm not one to complain but.... I am 5 weeks post op today. I had a vaginal and a bladder sling on 6/7. The bladder sling has been causing me lots of problems and it had to be loosened (that was on 7/1).

Do you think that that would be causing me the rectal discomfort? When I sit I feel a pulling and pain in my rectal area. I have to change positions frequently. I can't tell if I am having symptoms from my hysterectomy or if it is all the bladder sling stuff. I'm so uncomfortable and so unhappy and soooooo ready to feel better. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I am sure someone will reply soon that is familiar with what you are experiencing. I had a TAH (everything removed) but no other repairs. I wish I could offer some advice, but since I can't... from all of your sisters here!

I hope you start feeling better soon. Take care and get lots of

Hi,

I was just wondering if things are better or if you still have the pulling and rectal pain.

Thank you soooo much! I am feeling so much better. I'm basically living my life without any interuptions from pain or discomort. Thank goodness! I was getting so down.

I am calling my Uro today though because I still have difficulty urinating firtst thing in the morning. I am rarely self cathing but this morning I did, due to pain in the pelvic area. I got 225 cc residual which is too much, darn-it! I'm anxious to see what he will say.

Thank you for inquiring! I hope all of you are doing well also!

Elona! I hope you are also doing better soon! It must be a side effect with vaginal hysterectomies. Good luck and let me know how you're doing. Meg

5 weeks today and hurts to sit

7week sthis Wed and STILL using tummy pillow and a pillow to sit on for ALL car trips. Plus at night- I have a ton of pillows and the tummy pillow. I am deaf and feel things instead of hear and we think that is why I feel so much more pain than most people would. I can feel a plane go over when I am in the pool even though I cannot hear it at all. Bumps on the road are TORTURE ! And I still use a pillow at the pc or lay in bed on the laptop and sit on two towels outside at the pool. I have alot of lower right pelvic pain from Day One. Hoping that will go away, but I stil have to see Surgeon Aug 25th and will be under his care till then at least. It doesn't help to have dryness and hot/cold and irritability and headaches and crying jags all the time- yeah... THOSE SYMPTOMS when I kept my ovaries ! He put me on Premarin for three weeks and I am 11 nights out and it seems to be helping so far. I hope my ovaries are not shutting down.
The pillows might look funny, but go through what I have been through the past five months- then go ahead and laugh. I dare 'em !
