Provera Question

I was taking 20 mg of provera but stopped on Sat b/c it wasn't helping me with the bleeding. My boobs are SO SORE! Is this b/c of the provera possibly?

My experience has been that progesterone helps with sore breasts. Before I had my surgery I would get sore breasts when my estrogen levels were on the higher side of normal. My doctor prescribed Prometrium (progesterone) to help with my heavy bleeding and as a benefit, I noticed that my breasts didn't get nearly so sore.

It could be that the Provera (which is a synthetic progesterone) was helping you to be more hormonally balanced. Now that you aren't taking it, sore breasts could be the result of your estrogen to progesterone level being out of balance.

That would be my guess based on my experiences. It's a good question to ask your doctor!
