6 1/2 weeks, green light, but feeling HUGE in the middle

I know I should be sooooo happy that I got that green light I was hoping for...and I am...in fact, I actually screamed woo-hooo while I was on the way home (alone of course) yesterday from the appointment. but I just can't get past how big my middle seems. I have never been big, just toned...size 6...5 foot 6 inches...but my middle seems so 'thick'. I mean COME ON, I had a LAVH done, so where is all this 'build up' coming from? I am hoping it is b/c I did pamper the princess and those muscles are just gone and once I start doing more excerising, I will lose some of this 'baby fat' around the middle....any thoughts or suggestions? I hate to admit it, but it is depressing me..seriously! I have never felt like this before!!

You're still so early in your recovery. And, judging by your preop condition, it wouldn;'t take much swelling to make a bulge on your tummy. Things really do improve with time.
