Tugging and Pulling pain near ovaries

Today, I have so much tugging and pulling pain and it is in the area of my ovaries. Almost feels like cyst pain, is it my ovaries waking up?? Now, at 2 1/2 weeks? Or is this just normal healing pain? I feel like the two week point has brought about all types of new pains and feelings!

Tugging and Pulling pain near ovaries

Hey XOXO - I am about 2 1/2 weeks, and around 2 weeks or so (maybe a little earlier) I was having some ovary pain too - tugging/pulling/cyst like pain - thought it was weird too - worried me a little. I kept my ovaries, and I have to say I'm a bit protective of them!!

I'll be three weeks on Monday, and I haven't really noticed much of that pain in the last few days. Maybe someone further out than us can shed some light on this!

Tugging and Pulling pain near ovaries

HI Slplante
The two week mark is so strange. I was thinking great now I have an ovarian problem and they are going to have to go back in. So I know what you mean about being protective. I hope someone that is further out on healing sheds some light! Thank you

Tugging and Pulling pain near ovaries

I am 5 weeks Post op TAH and I still have the tugging and pulling pains. At my 2 week checkup, my doctor told me they were "Phantom Pains" and they would go away. At that point I had the pains every time I walked. Over a period of about a week the pains did go away. But I've noticed when I've overdone it and am tired...I have the tugging and pulling pains. But once I've rested for a whole day they go away again. So maybe it's just part of the healing process.

Tugging and Pulling pain near ovaries

Hi All,

I'm almost 2.5 weeks post op as well. Over the last couple of days I've had what you've been describing, especially at night. It really starts to tug something awful. And I don't have my ovaries!!! I think I'm going to side with annitt's Doc and chalk it up to phantom pains.

Man it's uncomfortable!! Each day a bit farther ahead, but something else weird kicks in!!

Tugging and Pulling pain near ovaries

Woobie1 nice to hear from you, we were on the same day. Nov 2nd.

I thought I would get better each day. And, I think I do, but like you said something weird seems to come up the next day, two steps forward one step back I guess. But, I really do not like this tugging pain. It's been keeping me down for the the past couple of days. Still, progress I quess.

Tugging and Pulling pain near ovaries

Ladies I am almost 4 weks postop and I am still have the tugging and pulling pains. They took my ovaries so I would say it is all part of the healing process. Somedays are better then others, but I know the discomfort is getting better. Some women say they feel better after a few weeks, but I still have days where it is very uncomfortable to sit for too long or be on my feet for too long. I am a tiny person and in very good shape. My DR. told me that the more muscle you have the longer it takes to feel good. Hope this helps you with the pains you are having, everyday will be something different but I know we are strong and can deal with it.

Tugging and Pulling pain near ovaries

You are right, Pam

Now that I know other sisters are going through the same and it is part of the healing process it is a little easier to deal with. I just thought it meant I was doing to much. So, everytime I feel the tugging I go sit down, or lean back I should say.
Well, the past two days, that's all I am doing is leaning back because I feel the pulling/tugging doing anything. Should I do my walking and light housework through the tugging/pulling since it might be around for awhile due to healing??? I can't lean back forever........or is it the bodies way of saying you did to much????

I had similar pains. I was thinking I might be ovulating. It was about the right time for it.

tugging and pulling

I am still doing light housework, dinner, walking, and watching 6 kids everyday. I do alot of sitting whenever I can. At night I usually just sit and watch tv or get on puter. You will know if you are doing to much, even with the tugging and pulling going on.

I do have a question I would like to know how at the end of your replys it says what you had done ...........how do you get that there do you type it everytime?????????
