Strange Pain

So all in all I have been recovering well since my da vinci assisted TVH on August 27th. The first 24 hours were more painful that I expected. but have been feeling better day by day.
Just today, though, something strange started happening. I started getting this shooting pain inside. I have a difficult time explaining where it is coming from but it feels like it is in my vagina...maybe up were the cervix was removed. The pain comes and goes quickly. It doesn't last more than a second or to but it is quite sharp.
I am still spotting a little every day but I don't think this is too unusual.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any idea what it could be.

Strange Pain

My Dr. explained to me that something like that could happen because sometimes nerves get a little damaged during surgery, but I would definitely call your Dr. if it continues to make sure it isn't anything more serious.

LoveChase

I'm sorry you're experiencing this.

As ((adamel)) says, it certainly wouldn't harm to ask your doctor as this is a new pain ~ it's always better to err on the side of caution, especially if it continues.

Sending all good wishes and I hope it improves very soon.

Strange Pain

Hey Lovechase,

Please take it from someone who had to be dragged to emergency three times post op saying I was okay and being admitted three time because I really wasn't okay.

Do as wonderful pooodle and adamel say and be on the safe side ... get it checked out just in case.

Hugs,
Tracy

I have that same pain but doc says everything is okay. I think its part of the healing. I tend to keloid scar so I am thinking its probably that way inside too.

The nurse told me it was the nerves that are trying to heal.
