HELP?? Canceled last time, Scheduled again ?!?!???

I'm am going crazy!! I was scheduled for 1-31-02., had to cancel because of hospital politics because of anesthia issues. I canceled two days before surgery. Now I'm scheduled for 2-19-02, at another, unfamiliar hospital in another state. I hope I'll make it through of another one week before surgery CRAZINESS . I need the hyst for severe cervical dysplasia and I had anesthia complications last surgery. ANYONE OUT THERE with either problem or having to reschedule?????????

What kind of anesthesia complications did you have? Were they from general anesthesia? Have you considered a spinal? I (and several other women on this site) had a spinal and it worked out great. I had valium with mine, so I dozed off anyway. One sister chose to be wide awake, but I preferred to be loopy.

I haven't had those things but wanted to say hello and send up for you to get to this surgery. Waiting is hard enough but to have to cancel that close is so hard. Just keep taking deep breaths and counting. I know counting is weird but it helped me it always took my mind off how slow it was until my hyst. I would see how far I could get counting before I would lose interest. Sometimes I got up to 500. God Bless and hope things go really smooth this time.
