Hysterectomy scheduled for June 27th

The doctor called this past week, and they said my hysterectomy is scheduled for June 27th. I am scared, nervous, and anxious about surgery. I know my husband will be able to take care of the kids and things around the house. However, yesterday while putting my groceries in my car, I had a mild anxiety attack. I was freaking out by the thought of my husband going to the grocery store. I know it's silly! How does everyone deal with pre-surgery anxiety and nerves?

I'm also scared. My MNL, SNL, and mom all tell me everything will be ok (they've all gone through surgery). However, I just keep thinking it's different for everyone.

The silliest thing about have been giving me anxiety the closer I get to surgery. Such as wanting fresh sheets sheets when I come home but don't think no more my husband will make the bed how I like it it.

My husband grocery shopping kills me. He hasn't done it in probably 2 decades.
He will buy the wrong size, brand, flavor, and spend way more than I do. I know how to shop for the 6 of us. But I have to let it go, as they keep telling me - lol

Oddly in go in today, I slept like a log last night, and my only stomach issue is being hungry , not my usual anxiety stomach knots.

It's scary, it's major surgery. You will cry, feel calm, repeat

Good luck with surgery! I'll be thinking about you and praying for a speedy recovery. And that your husband does well on grocery shopping.

Thank you. All went well except not being able to pee on my own.
I didn't say the night ,it felt too soon to go home , but they sent me anyway, and I'm okay.

I have found I'm fine propped up on pillows on the couch, I didn't spend today in bed. We'll see what tomorrow brings
Different little aches and pains all day though.
