Bi-corneal (two) uterouses - longer recovery?

Hi - I am going in for a hysterectomy the 29th. I have a two-horned uterous and I was wondering if my procedure/recovery would be any different than a regular one? I have a history of endometriosis and have had a c-section. I tried the ablation and it didn't work, so this is the next step. Anyone have the same unusual shaped uterous?

Bi-corneal (two) uterouses - longer recovery?

Hi Florida - Canadian here - I too have a double uterus with horns. I am scheduled for TAH on Jan. 24. I don't know about the recovery but do know that my Dr. said because of the size of the uterus abdominal surgery was preferred.

I haven't met anyone else with a "doubledouble" but have seen a few posts here - so I know we exist. I am hoping to see a photo of what I refer to as "my freak show".

Wish you well with your surgery, take care,

Thanks - It's a miracle I had three children and no one knew then...that was seventeen years ago. You go on the 24th. Me the 29th. I will be thinking of "all of you" and hope it goes well.

Bi-corneal (two) uterouses - longer recovery?

Hi, I'm another Floridian with a bicornate uterus with surgery scheduled Jan 21st. My doctor said adhesions and a bicornate, oh what fun! My husband wanted to know if the doctor was charging twice as much, and I wanted to know if that meant twice the pain. Seriously, I don't expect my recovery to be any diffent than anyone else undergoing abdominal surgery. Hopeful Sis, I've seen a picture of mine from the inside from my hysterscopy, and I too hope to see a picture from the outside. I don't know if I'll be able to post before you 2 have surgery, but trusting Him to be with our surgeons and our recoveries.

Bi-corneal (two) uterouses - longer recovery?

Hi, I'm a Texan with adenomyosis and surgery scheduled Jan 29th. I will pray for all the sisters for upcoming hysterectomies. We will all make it through this because we are tough women.

Funny asking to charge twice. Only hope is that the recovery will not be twice as long. I live alone and hope after ten days staying with a friend will be enough
