Potty problems...and not the kind you're thinking!!

Really??? I mean, REALLY?????

My "luck" could not be any more comical if I planned it that way! The guest restroom is the closest one to my "convalescence corner" & the one I had planned to use, most of the time, after surgery. Well, the seal around the bottom of the toilet has developed a crack around it & has developed a leak, everytime someone flushes it! Not a flood, but enough to soak the rug or a towel pretty good.

So...it is out of commission for probably most of my convalescence. Sigh. That means that, not only will I have to shuffle all the way to our bedroom one, but I'll have to compete with hubby & son for it! Ugh!!

Sigh.

The toilet seal is a relatively quick fix - perhaps, if you can't afford a plumber, you have a friend who would help out? For someone experienced at it, it should take less than an hour.

Re: Potty problems...and not the kind you're thinking!!

Hubby asked me to pick up a wax ring & plumbers caulk, after I got done in town at the pre-op at the hospital (we live 35 miles from the next biggest town). He & his friend are going to "tackle the toilet" this week, so I won't have to toddle all over the house to go potty after all!! LOL

You sound like you have my luck. Night before I had gallbladder surgery the plumbing backed up! (Oak tree roots)! A couple days ago it did it again! Luckily getting thru my bowel prep okay tonight but sucks if you gotta wait when your body is going thru that!

LOL...sometimes, do you feel like "Murphy's Law" was written just for you? I know I do, sometimes.

Well, as odd as it seems, these are the things we look back on, later, & laugh about.
