Bring an extra blanket ( I took my fav throw and it made me feel a little more comfortable) take socks and a loose fitting dress to wear home.

Re: Tips for what to pack for the hospital?

I am going tomorrow TAH with LSO. I was surprised to find out the hospital I am going to does not want patient's wearing their own gowns or slippers. I am taking only my insurance card, ID, and the paperwork from the doctors office. I am hoping to be out the next evening. I am told that is pretty quick for TAH. But, I am hoping for the best. Wake up. Pull the catheter. Stop the PCA pump. Eat. Void. Walk. Stable VS. Adequate pain control. Nice incision. Leave. That would be the best birthday present I could ever get! I'll update. There are lists here good ones and I wholeheartedly planned to take tons of things, but, now that it's closer and I am calmer. I don't want to be bothered with packing it to and from or having it get lost or stolen. If I needed to take it I would, bit I live close by and have lots of help
