The rudeness of people when they hear you are having a hys...

Well, I seriously think Hystersisters should come up with a new product in the shape of a frying pan and let us all use it for "stupid people comments". They would make a fortune!!!!

I know a few at my office who could use the frying pan in the face treatment!!

Hang in there!

I too kept my mouth shut about my surgery until it was just about time to have it. A few of my close coworkers understood, the rest had the idea that this was elective surgery. Honey, there is no way I would ever have anykind of elective surgery. Told one person and got somewhat the same response, theirs was "oh, you don't want to have anymore children!" how lame is that.

The rudeness of people when they hear you are having a hys...

I've told several people in my office, and only one gave me the most bizarre reply. "You don't need that," she told me. "You just need to take some pills." She even offered to sell me some, telling me they cure cancer. Whacko, just plain whacko! As my momma always said, "Consider the source."

Best to you. I see you're a few days post now, so I hope you're doing well.

I work in health care, and my very most dearest hystersister is a co-worker of mine. Our medical director asked her why she was having a hysterectomy. A little nonplussed, she replied, "Because I'm bleeding like a stuck pig." She set the stage for me. All I had to say when the asked me was, "Same as Mary Beth."
