Re: UGH Gross!!! need to vent and inject a little humor into my day warning!! May be

I suppose it depend on the kind you get I am on the kind where you have to drink 1 gallon in 4 hours equals out to be about 8 oz every 10 mins... Drinking that much of anything makes me nausous but when it tastes this icky it makes it worse. I am taking a drink of something I like and opening up my throat a little and then slam a gulpful of the colon cleanser so I don't gag on it and getting the taste out of my mouth with ice pops ! It smells kinda fishy and has a taste that is inbetween really salty and really fishy I can't honestly say it is that bad but the taste does make me gag!!

I don't know what you had to drink down, but mine (mag citrate) wasn't too bad at all. I also didn't have to live in the bathroom either. Different reactions for different people, I guess, huh?

Is it golightly? I had to take that before surgeryto remove my tumor and I **still** have nightmares about the taste. I mixed it with lemon flavored drink mix and I still can't drink lemonade because it makes me gag. Sorry if that's what you're taking- it will be over soon!

Re: UGH Gross!!! need to vent and inject a little humor into my day warning!! May be

i had the small bottle of mag citrate, i hated it, was terrible I thought and i also wasn't allowed to have anything but a liquid diet the day before surgery and drinking this stuff made my stomach hurt, i needed something solid. I even called my doc and asked if i could at least have some noodles in my chicken broth and she said that i could if i felt sick.
