12 Days Post Hysterectomy: clear discharge tinged w/blood

I am 12 days post op. First day back at work. Just went to bathroom, I had a small amount of clear discharge tinged with blood. Is this normal?

I'm 12 days post op to and I haven't stopped having colored discharge. Woke up this morning to bright red again. Called the dr and have an apt in the morning...he's out today.

It is normal to have spotting/discharge that starts and stops throughout our initial recovery period (approx 6 weeks). I had spotting that was at times clear, pink, bright red, dark red, brown and orange. As long as you aren't bleeding heavily (filling a pad in an hour) you are likely fine. If you are experiencing anything different than described in your discharge papers or if you're feeling concerned, check with your doctor.

I was told its totally normal for some discharge as your still healing internally from the surgery. I only had a little a few days after op but good to check with your dr
