4 months post op..bleeding after sex??

Has anyone experienced pain with penetration and light bleeding following intercourse this far into recovery?? I had a TAH in January. ( followed doctor's orders at the 6 week checkup to listen to my body and proceed cautiously with penetration etc., but this is beginning to worry me)

Would appreciate any feedback.

I'm almost ten weeks out and have had bleeding after intercourse almost every time I've had sex. Of course that's all of about 3-4 times, if you count the times I stopped because it hurt. Because my diagnosis was andenocarcinoma (stage 1A) my surgeon was a gyn/onc.

I call the office last last two times I had bleeding after intercourse, which last into the next day, and the nurse--you can't get near the docs--called me back and said the doc "is not concerned." Well I am concerned. I'm concerned out the bleeding; I'm concerned about the pain; I'm concerned about feeling sore in my vagina, as well as about the rest of the post-op residual pain.

LaClaire, I hope your doc is more responsive and helps you solve the problem. From what I've read elsewhere on the site it sounds like granulation, a bit of scar tissue that is not healing properly. Next week I'm going to try to find a gyn that will see me and help stop the bleeding so I'm not afaid to have sex, perferably one who will also take the time to help me get my hormones under control, and listen to me not just tell me I should be happy that "we cured your cancer."

Me I did at 4 1/2 months. Both pain and bleeding. At 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 14 weeks things were fine until week 16! Went to the doc and she said I'm a slow healer...(also 56 years old) so granulation was setting in causing this. Had a nitrate treatment in the office and I go for a follow up soon. I may need more than one treatment.

You need to call the office...you should be seen. Don't worry about, it just do it. I hope everything else is going well for you.

Me too! I was fine for a while, then had some bleeding around 6 weeks, saw my surgeon, then I was fine and it went away. No problem until now. So Monday I get to call my wonderful doctor and make an appointment. I know it's probably the spot that I had before, but this is annoying! So, you are not alone!
