3 weeks post-op: Life after Hysterectomy Question - intimacy concerns

Hi Ladies!

I am wondering how your life has changed after having a hysterectomy. I am 3 weeks PO and I am still recovering and trying to figure out if I will still have a healthy sex life. I have heard/read horror stories of women that have decrease in their sex drives. I only had my uterus and cervix removed so I thought that would not be an issue but I have read that some women that had cervix removed has a decrease in sex and orgasms. Is that the case? How was your journey? Did your sex drive increase or decrease? How did your life change for the good or bad after a hysterectomy?

Well my uterus always cramped up with sex so i don't miss it one bit.
It would hurt so bad before having the hyster there was a few times i was thinking of going to the hospital because it was so bad.
But some women out there have a uterine orgasm so they miss it during sex.
There shouldn't be any damage to the g-spot so then you can have those still. I do and love them.....since now i don't have a uterus to cramp up and ruin it all with pain. So now its all pleasure.
Really the things i miss most are my hormones. I didn't really want my ovary gone (only ever had one) and left it up to the doc to take it or not. And he had to take it since it was glued onto the back of my uterus and all ready looked like the blood supply was dwindling and a huge pile of endo with it.
So yeah life is great without the uterus....i am glad it is gone.
I wish i had hormones though but other than that......
