urinary incontinence has some symptoms
so, no, there wasn't a surprise once we got into the OR. I already was well aware that if I sneezed or coughed, I piddled my pants. Ditto for the rectocele repair. I had demonstratable difficulty going poo-poo.
Knowing what I knew, I asked for a urologist to be there during the hyster and do the bladder repair. Had to do some preoperative testing since insurance wasn't going to just take my word that I was headed toward a lifestyle that included adult diapers if I didn't get the repair.
