Hi lu22, I did not have fever in hospital but for two weeks was 99.3, since I normally am in 97 range I discussed with MD but she said if it was a bacterial infection it would definetely be over 101. She did a WBC and it was normal. However I still had chills off and on which I now don't and my temp is 98. Having a low grad temp is also the normal inflammatory response after surgery. If it is bacterial cause of low grade fever the cipro will take care of that. Good luck. How are you doing now?

Thank you soo...much for responding back. I'm sorry that you also had this worry and am glad you are ok. I trust my doc. too and he said not to worry until the fever hits 101 and CALL if it does. I feel ok just tired when it starts to go up. I too am having chills and sometimes sweats. When I get cold it is hard to warm up. I will sometimes sit under a blanket with a heating pad on my hands until the chill goes away. I didn't know that inflammation could cause this. I think I just have to calm down. In every other way I'm doing great and a bad ax doesn't have to fall. I had a tah kept ovaries and cervix, appendix removed (this was the hardest part because it reached all the way to my gallbladder), and adhesions, biopsies of 3 cysts. I'm sure I have some inflammation! The fever also started the day after I sneezed and popped a stitch. Did I tell you THANK YOU. I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend. Big Hug
