cramping AFTER going to the bathroom?

okay, heading into tmi waters here - sorry!

i've noticed over the past few days that, after having a bm (no matter how small, and with no straining that i can think of)...i end up feeling crampy. almost menstrual crampy today, even.

it's bizarre and i'm kinda freaking out. i plan to call the dr tomorrow (if they're open) to see what they think, but wanted to see if anyone here has had anything similar.

Does it feel like it's your bladder maybe? My bladder felt crampy after peeing & otherwise and sure enough it was a bladder infection. Just something else to think about.

hi sorry to hear your having pain after you have a bm. i do know where you are coming from. my pain was so bad i had to call the dr on a sat night and i had to take oral soulation [sp] its to cleanse you out for surgery's. it did help but everytime i eat i take a stool softner and i eat my 7 prunes and drink 8oz of prune juice.its been a battle with me trying to have a bm. i feel its worse than the tvh and bladder sling i had done on jan 26th. i go to the dr on wed, so i'm going to ask him what to do. i ahve tried all kinds of advice on here, ginger tea, prunes, bran, applesauce, walking, i drink nothing but water, hot tea, and juices. i hope it gets better for you.

Are you constipated in general, going as you normally would? Or did your doc. tell you you had adhesions with your uterus and bowels that he had to break up and maybe everything is still adjusting there?

it seems i have been having problems having a bm since i got home. i'm getting to the point that i do not want to eat because i know its going to be so much pain. i go to my dr. this wed. i have never had any type of surgey before and my mom said it takes people different times to heal. i think the surgey was easier than this bathroom issue. so hopefully i will have some answers on mon. thank you for responding. tina
