Orgasm at 11 days post hysterectomy safe??

I am 11 days post op TVH-kept ovaries. My DH and I are craving intimacy in ANY form at this moment. We know NOTHING In vagina, but we were wondering about "outer" stimulation. We are so afraid of causing damage that we have been very hands off with eachother, to prevent any type of arousal within either of us. Ive read that becoming aroused and orgasm could cause damage?? I am hoping I am far enough along that we could try some form of pleasure together. Help???

43yrs old-adenomyosis, endometriosis, TVH on November 1, 2016, kept ovaries.

Talk to your doctor.

I was told flat out no stimulation, no orgasm, full pelvis rest until week 3.

My doc explained that the muscle contractions in the area and the rush of blood would be painful, would cause more swelling, could cause bleeding, and could cause damage.

Almost a year out, one thing I know for sure? Healing well is worth the wait.

I wish the urges weren't so strong! 17 years of marriage and have NEVER been in a situation where we've had to abstain for so long. Its misery! But, healing properly is our main priority! Thank you!!

Many doctors require "complete pelvic rest" until clearance but if yours didn't give specific orders then, as mentioned above, you need to call and ask what is and is not allowed. You risk problems by engaging in any sort of sex too soon.

Only your doctor knows if your recovery has progressed far enough for any type of sexual activity to be safe - that's not something anyone here can say, I'm afraid.
