Bleeding post-op, 18 days

Hi! I had surgery on Aug. 11th and am still bleeding post-op. I went for my 2 week checkup and since I was bleeding and passing tissue my obgyn gave me an exam. Upon examining me she said it looked like some of my internal stitches were coming out. She said it would probably heal on its own. Has anyone else encountered this problem and does it get any better?

I had bleeding/discharge for 6 weeks, and the doctor said this was normal. When he examined me he also found stitches loose, and I found some on my underwear around the 3 week period.

Yes, it gets better as the tissue begins to heal. I did not do any heavy lifting, pulling or pushing during the 6 week time so everything would heal properly.
