Weight gain

What causes this weight gain, is it the HRT? Does it happen without using HRT?

I'm not on HRT yet, and no weight gain yet. Just scared, just feel really scared about whats ahead after my TAH.

I seem to be scared about small stuff like weight gain and sex drive, but it figures in with how I feel about myself. I have learned before my TAH to not ignore my thoughts or feelings to try and deal with them sooner vs mis-directed my issues onto someone close to me.

This site helps me but also scares me to read what othes are going thru, it seems more bad then good.

I got use to the once a month pain, and I guess I will get use to whatever lies ahead, but what will I have to just deal with and what can be helped?

Oh well,,,only time will tell.

I need to set my husbands expectations lower then what he expects, we were both thinking in 8 weeks I will be as good as new,,,

Only been a week and a day for me, and I gained 2 pounds!!! I blame my dh and co workers for feeding me chocolate and too many of my favorite foods!!!
I hope all goes well when you start HRT. Good idea to set husbands expectations lower, I think I will try that one myself

I lost 6 pounds after surgery (I guess that is what the fibroids weighed). I need to loose about 50 more so I joined a gym. Hopefully I at least won't gain any, but not taking HRT yet.
