7 weeks and no sign of dissolving stitches?

I'm 7 weeks today and wondering if I should be concerned about this. In all this time, I have only seen one teeny-tiny snippet of suture material at 6 weeks. It was so tiny I probably wouldn't have noticed it except for the color. There has never been any bleeding, spotting, or discharge. It has now been a full week since seeing that one stitch.

I had my last follow-up with my doctor at 4 weeks. He told me it was still healing and to give it 2 more weeks and then I could resume everything. I read so many posts in which women have had stitches clipped or treated at 8-week follow-ups and I have concerns that the stitches are still in there and I'll never know because I won't see the doctor again. It kind of scares me because I don't know if I'm healed or doing damage.

Should I wait another week to see what happens and then call the doctor's office to ask about it? Or, should I just presume that the stitches dissolved and were absorbed? Is it possible to go through the entire recovery period without seeing suture material?

7 weeks and no sign of dissolving stitches?

I never saw a single stitch and seem to have healed just fine.

I never saw a single stitch either. I was concerned that I wasn't healing internally and when I saw my dr. at my 5 week check up he said everything was healing well, just had to wait 10 more days to resume sex , had a few stitches left to heal on vaginal cuff. Don't panic if you don't notice anything, but if you are concerned call your dr.
