Total Abdominal Hysterectomy 11/19

I was originally scheduled for my hysterectomy on November 12, arrived at hospital, got prepped, even made it into the OR, only to wake up in recovery with nothing having been done because they couldn't intubate me due to a difficult airway that I wasn't aware of. I am now rescheduled for November 19th and they will have to intubate me while I'm awake and then put me under. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have looked up instructional videos on youtube and that helped explain the procedure but I would like some personal stories...please and thank you....

I am surprised that they even put,you under without looking at your airway first. That is the first thing they did before I went into surgery. I don't know the procedure. Hopefully someone will come around who has had it done.
