Feeling really "full" or need to poo? Three days post- Laparascopic Hysterectomp

The first two days were not pleasant but not the end of the world, either. Today is Day Three post op and though I'm a bit slower than normal I also feel pretty much OK. . .

EXCEPT. . .I feel like I need to make the world's largest poo!

I'm taking a Rx stool softener but nothing is happening. I swear there's a grapefruit in there waiting to come out!

Is this gas? The normal "fear of going for the first time"? Constipation?

Any tips?

Help!

Neither of which I've done much of today - but will do!

Actually I've been up and around a LOT more than I expected (nearly the same as any other workday from home) but I guess I need to do more

Will start chugging water, too.

Thanks!

It's pretty normal to feel strange sensations in your bowels and to have some discomfort and constipation.

Stool softeners and water seem to help keep things moving while your bowels get back to normal.

Still nothing happening down there, but the additional water seems to have helped with the very uncomfortable sensation
