2 weeks post hysterectomy: why is it so hard to stop
My appointment went good for the follow up on my ear dr said it is definitely a lot clearer the it was when I saw him on Monday I had my sister take me to my appointment so I didn't have to drive I had to drive on Monday cause I had no one else to take me and man I paid for that. Why is it so hard to stop (I can't stand the house to get a little messy) so I do a little bit and then I say to my self stop but I don't cause just a little more and it will be clean. I know I'm not the only one that does this lol trying to take it a day at a time. Thanks for being hear for me to see that I'm not the only one going through this. Wishing rest and healing for all my hystersisters

Re: 2 weeks post hysterectomy: why is it so hard to stop
I did absolutely nothing for 3 weeks, then it started to get to me. My husband was falling behind in cleaning, so I put the dishes in the dish washer, I washed the dishes and dusted a bit. I rested a lot and only did one thing a day. It felt so good to be doing something.

Re: 2 weeks post hysterectomy: why is it so hard to stop
I totally understand how you feel sparklebear, I was exactly the same way. One of the most difficult things about my recovery was not being able to do all the things that I used to before my surgery. As women we are so used to keeping the house in order, caring for children, working and just being as I call it sometimes, Super Woman, lol It just killed me for the first several weeks as I had to watch my husband and daughter try to do the best that they could. I appreciated their help and support so very much but no one could scrub out the bathtub like I could. Don't worry, time will pass quickly and soon you will be able to do all the household things that you used to. Be good to yourself and take this time to rest. A hysterectomy, regardless of what type is a major surgical procedure and our bodies need to heal from the trauma that we have been through.
Gentle ((hugs))
