5 months postop and still tender, swollen
I'm now 5.5 months post op and the area between my naval and (horizontal) incision is still tender and numb, kind of feels like it's bruised there. I had one csection 2 years ago and had what I thought was a larger then normal numbness area that didn't go away. Now it's even larger and I also still have a pooch under my naval (where the most tender area is) which I didn't have before. It seems more swollen at some times then others. Will it ever go back to normal (with exercise and more time) or does scar tissue just stay that way?
I hate to be vain but I'm only 29 and am a thin person so this pooch is a bit depressing, especially when I still get a swollen belly and it reminds me of how things looked in my early pregnancy, which really hurts since I can't ever get pregnant again, blah :-(

(((Jen)))
I'm sorry you're having numbness and tenderness since your hysterectomy and a pooch under your navel. Be sure to mention it to your doctor and I hope it gets better. Hang in there and let us know how you're doing.
