Excellent. Here's to a speedy recovery. Make sure when you drive her home she has a pillow to put over her abdomen. It helps with the bumps in the road. She will feel like jello inside. Let us know when she gets home.
You sound like a terrific DH. s to you both

Glad to hear Debbie is doing well
Dave,
What an extraordinary fellow you are to post Debbie's progress! I know that while my DH of 27 yrs will be with me throughout my surgery next Wed., I know he wouldn't think about posting on a website that deals with women's issues. He is wonderful in many ways, but when it comes to medicine issues, he doesn't want to know anything that is going to happen. He has been telling me tho that he hears from co workers how it was for their wives and even some of the women have asked why he is going to be off and when he tells them, they offer their experiences if it applies.
I guess we don't have to worry about Debbie since we can see she has extra special care being given to her while she recoups.
Hope she continues to excell in her recovery.
Thanks again for updating all of us here!
Mary

She's out!
Dave,
You are so wonderful to let us all know that Debbie's o.k.!!!! Thank you!!!! I have been looking and looking for a new post indicating that she had returned and worried enough today to do a search for her username and found this thread! I can't believe I missed this!
Give her big hugs from me!!! So glad it all turned out well and wish her continued wellness throughout her recovery.
I can tell by your concern that you will be a wonderful caregiver for her upon her return home. I can't even tell you how much it means to us women, even the little things. It will come back to you ten-fold!!!
Debbie, hope that nausea and gas have passed. Those bowels can be so nasty! You are probably now home. Would love to hear from you when you are "up to it". Thank goodness this is now behind you! I am now over 3.5 weeks post op and feel like a brand new woman. NO MORE PAIN!!! YES! Hopefully, you will be saying the same thing soon! You've got that wonderful DH to pamper your, too! I have a wonderful DH, too. Feels good to have the support of my best friend of 16 years.
Take care,
Jackie

Thank you everyone
Just wanted to write a little note of thanks to all my "Sisters"... You gals are the best... You have meant so much to me the past few weeks... I wasn't as worried as I could of been... Even the worst of the pain wasn't truly horrible... Pretty soon the staples come out.. Thank goodness and then I will be on my way.... Thank you gals!

She's out!
Debbie!
Happy to hear from you! Glad to know that the worst part of the pain wasn't "truly horrible" as you decribed!
I was the same way. I feel I suffered more pain before surgery than after, except of course for the digestive problems....that was the worst. Otherwise, this has been a very positive experience for me.
Of course, care and caution must be exercised during healing and recovery happens in many different "phases", getting better as you go!!! Please take really good care of yourself and listen to your body and your doctor!
Oh, and of course, you're lucky to have Dave to help and support you as you heal!
HUGS!
Jackie
