dVH/RALH 2.5 weeks post hysterectomy: When will I get my appetite back??

I had my hyster November 10th, and I have no appetite. I'm hungry, but the thought of eating is just gross. I do choke down a little food each day but nothing tastes good. Is this normal? When will it go away? I've lost 10 lbs in two weeks!!!

My appetite came back about 3 weeks later. I was still on narcs and had a cold, so everything made me ill.

I think it's all very personal. I was hungry the day of surgery. I ate half a turkey sub before I went home same day. However, when my dad had surgery (not a hysterectomy ), he did not feel like eating for over a month. He said nothing had any flavor. For him, it just slowly returned, bit by bit. Hope you get your appetite back soon.

Keep drinking as much as you can.
My appetite was like yours.....but has come back but I'm still not eating how I used to.....which is good. I have lost a stone and a half.
