What to take with me!!!

Here is my funny story. I hadn't finished packing my suit case with a planned c-section with first. I hadn't put clothes in it. I went for visit to hospital the day before for preop and they didn't let me go home because I had plecenta abruptis. I got drenched in sweat. I forgot to tell me mom to pack my clothes, so I had to wear my sweaty clothes home 3 days later for a hour and a half drive. So pack it all ahead of time. Cause you don't know if you'd have to go in early.

I packed hard candies, lip balm, pads, clothes. All I used was my clothes and cell phone. I was way to out of it to use lip balm. They brought me lots of soda and water... Soda helps wonders with the gas

On thsi same note, do hospitals have to accomodate special diets like celiac disease, no wheat or gluton? How do I find this out? I don't want to pack my own food. Should I call ahead and ask?

I would think that they would, but never hurts to call and ask.

I know during my pre-op they asked me if I had any special dietary needs. I'm sure if you advise them ahead of time they'll work with you.

I bought this before my surgery and I have to say, it made my life sooooo much easier. It was perfect for coughing, laughing, sleeping, and buckling into the seatbelt. I had it with me at the hospital and it stayed with me for the first 2 weeks.

I needed heat for tummy and back, also helped gas move along. I would suggest a heating pad, lip balm of course, pads, mints/hard candy. Wearing the same clothes pre op and going home-loose fitting dress, skirt, or pants, paper/pen for questions to ask doc, phone charger.
