LAVH: Pre Op appt today!

Hello Ladies,

I had my Pre Op appt today and bloodwork done. I flooded my dr wth Questions. He answered them all wth a smile and assurance! My only Question is I wasn't given any Prep before surgery is this Normal or shld I been given a bowel prep or somethin?? I'm still trying to learn about this before Surgery On Tuesday??

From what I've read about on this site is that it is doc's preference if they give bowl prep. Some want everything 'cleaned out' for whatever reason and other docs seem to think it adds undue pressure on the patient before major surgery. I am having DaVinci and was given a bowel prep, but it doesn't seem nearly as bad as what some other 'sisters' had to go through.
