Looks like we had our surgeries within the same week. I am still waiting on hearing my results and I was told I would hear at my 6 week check up. You were lucky to have heard sooner.

Did your doctor call you or did you call him. The only reason I am asking is I am debating if I should be calling him so I can put my mind at ease.

My prayers go to you but I know everything is going to be just fine for you.
Hi there. I'm post opp 8 days and called my Dr for the pathology report on day 6. They were able to get it over to their office and the Dr called me right back. I had a polyp in my cervix and my entire cervix was pre cancer and one more step would have been full blown. It's scary to think of the C word but I'm glad it is low and hopefully completely taken care of from surgery. Prayers bent sent over!!

Laura
Sending you big hugs and lots of positivity. Like others have said- sounds like they caught it in good time and have got it all. I have everything crossed for you and hope you don't need further treatment-and if you do then you know you are being well looked after.
I have a question how long after you op did you receive the results call? Still anxiously waiting for mine.

Hugs

Re: Cancer found in Pathology report

I was diagnosed with borderline malignancy in the ovarian tumor that was removed with my hysterectomy. The pathologists(2 reviews) found a tiny tumor that was stage 1 cancer. Because it was contained in the ovary the "tumor board" decided that they would hold off on further treatment as all other tissues removed came back negative. Maybe they will do the same for you. Please know my prayers are with you

Re: Cancer found in Pathology report

When I had my surgery, my doctor came to my recovery room to say that they did find cancer. He also said I was cured. Diagnosed and cured on the same day. For the first year, I had checkups every six months. Now yearly. My two year anniversary of my surgery was last week.

I can completely relate to the scary possible cancer diagnosis. I wish you all the best.

Reading your quote today gives me hope that everything will be ok. I too have endometrial hyperplasia with atypia. I had my uterus, cervix and ovaries removed on Dec. 4th and will get my pathology report back this Monday Dec. 22nd. The surgeon said everything looked good from what she could see, but she couldn't be 100% sure until the report came back of course. It has been a very long couple of weeks. I try to stay positive telling myself it's all going to be fine, but then there is the part that keeps saying to me...what if it isn't. I will have to be a big girl and deal with what ever comes my way but I have to admit right now it is all really scary until you know.
